The Samsung 870 EVO is the latest SATA solution in Samsung's world's best-selling consumer SSD series. Representing the culmination of the company's SATA SSD line, it delivers a compelling mix of performance, reliability and compatibility for casual laptop and desktop PC users as well as Network Attached Storage (NAS) users.
Built with Samsung's latest V-NAND and a newly designed controller, the 870 EVO reaches the maximum SATA interface sequential read and write speeds of 560 MB/s and 530 MB/s respectively. Its Intelligent TurboWrite technology uses a large variable SLC buffer to help maintain peak performance, while delivering 38% higher random read performance and 30% improved sustained performance over the previous generation for faster everyday computing.
